🇲🇽🔥 The Warning, the three-sister rock band from Monterrey made up of Daniela, Paulina and Alejandra Villarreal, has officially reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart with their song “Kerosene.”
And this isn’t just another chart victory.
The achievement makes The Warning the first Mexican band ever to reach No. 1 on the chart — and the first all-woman band in the chart’s 45-year history to reach the top spot.
The three sisters have been playing music together since they were young, gradually building a following from their hometown of Monterrey, Mexico, before taking their music to audiences around the world.
Daniela became the band’s guitarist and lead vocalist, Paulina took over the drums and vocals, and Alejandra became the bassist. What started as three sisters playing together eventually grew into one of Mexico’s biggest modern rock success stories.
Their journey on Billboard’s rock charts has been years in the making.
The Warning first appeared on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart in 2022 with “Money,” which reached No. 31. They later scored Top 10 hits, but with “Kerosene,” they finally broke through all the way to the top.
The historic moment came as the band entered a new era with their fifth studio album, Everything’s Falling, making the achievement even bigger for the Monterrey sisters.
For 45 years, the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart has been dominated by some of the biggest names in rock.
