The Guadalajara-Puerto Vallarta short route is a strategic project for tourism in Jalisco that has been under construction for more than 10 years, since its construction began in 2012, and it seems that it will finally be finished.

The last toll booth was recently installed on the last section of the Guadalajara-Puerto Vallarta short route, which will link the town of Bucerías, Nayarit, with the International Airport of the coastal municipality of Jalisco.

That is, a new fee will arrive for motorists who decide to take the short route to the beach destination, although the amount is still unknown. At this time, with the 5 existing toll booths, the cost of taking this route is 1,068 pesos.

The new toll booth is located between the town of San Vicente and San José del Valle.

The short route to Puerto Vallarta still has one more section to finish. Currently, a new 32.2-kilometer stretch is under construction, which will reduce travel time by 25 minutes and will connect the San Vicente Junction directly with the Puerto Vallarta International Airport.
