Chilean rock band Los Bunkers has confirmed that their acclaimed MTV Unplugged concert, in an extended version, will be screened in movie theaters in Mexico. The long-awaited event, which has caused great excitement among fans, will allow viewers to enjoy not only the band’s music, but also a visual production that has been carefully crafted for the occasion.
The concert was produced by Emanuel Del Real, better known as Meme, a member of Café Tacuba, who contributed his experience and unique style to the musical production. In this extended version, the group will have the special participation of singer Mon Laferte, who will join the band in some of their most emblematic songs.
Prior to the release of this concert, the Chilean band revealed the first single from this unreleased material, titled “Ven aquí.” This song, which combines alternative rock with cumbia, was originally published on their album Vida de Perros, but is now presented with a new version that includes the co-production of Memetronic.
For the recording of this single, the band had the collaboration of guest musicians such as Gregorio Madina Goitia, Martín Benavides and Carmen Ruiz. In addition, the video clip was directed by the renowned filmmaker Pablo Larraín.
The announcement of Los Bunkers comes in the middle of a kind of “competition” with the Mexican band Enjambre, which will also screen its Noches de Salón concert in movie theaters in Mexico. This fact generated a stir on social media, as some fans of alternative rock in Spanish highlighted the proximity of the dates and the rivalry between the bands.
Despite the speculation, the official announcement was confirmed by Cinépolis, which will finally screen Los Bunkers MTV Unplugged in its movie theaters in the country. For many of their fans, this will be a unique opportunity to relive the band’s greatest hits in an exclusive format and on the big screen.
If you are a fan of Los Bunkers, you cannot miss this experience. Although details about the pre-sale of tickets have not yet been revealed, the band’s fans are already on alert to secure their place at this event that promises to be a spectacle for lovers of live rock. The date is December 12, and everything seems to indicate that it will be an unforgettable night for Mexicans who enjoy music in its purest and most acoustic form.
