Rosy Díaz hopes that at some point, Santa Rita Tlahuapan can be called a “Magical Town” due to the tourist vocation that it has.
“Hopefully at some point Santa Rita Tlahuapan will have the opportunity to be a Magical Town, today we are a town with a tourist vocation and we have to make that grow so that tomorrow we can be a Magical Town,” said the mayor.
In this tenth edition, the attendance of at least 100 thousand people is expected, which is 20 percent more than the previous year, which gathered 80 thousand attendees, seeking in the same way, the economic spillover.
Among the activities, the mayor said that there will be the sale of Christmas trees so that families can choose their tree and depending on the size and type of pine, the price will be, ranging from $800 to $2000 pesos.
For those interested in purchasing trout, the kilo will have an approximate cost of $330 pesos, with three or four trout, also depending on the size of the same, for which the municipal informed that it is a mutual agreement between the City Council and trout farmers, ensuring that the competition is totally healthy.
The mayor of Tlahuapan said that for its part, the only interest that the City Council has in this fair is not to receive money from the sellers, but that it grows and that the participants manage to sell their products.
“The work that the City Council does here, I must say and I must remember, we do not have a single payment for anything, what we want to do is that this fair grows, that it becomes stronger and stronger […] we have many people who have come to sign up to be able to participate and be able to sell the product that they want and I think that is a good thing,” emphasized the councilor.
Although, you can enjoy various activities from noon, on Saturday at 3:00 p.m., there will be a trout tasting, starting the inauguration of the fair, with various flavors such as Mexican, deviled, molcajete, Hawaiian, in broth and others.
