The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Querétaro has identified, so far, 14 victims of María de los Milagros “N”, known as the Marilyn Cote of Querétaro, who is linked to a process for usurpation of professions and malicious injuries, as she performed cosmetic surgeries without having the required academic degree.
The ongoing investigations do not rule out that the number of affected people may increase, as confirmed by the prosecutor Antonio de Jesús Hernández. It should be remembered that the first investigations were carried out only for three complaints, however, the number of complainants has been increasing as the case went viral on social networks.
“In the case of the doctor, there are 14 victims who already have. In reality, an accumulation could be generated and we would be talking about more than 100 years in prison,” explained the prosecutor when detailing the legal scope of the case. However, he pointed out that the resolution will depend on the individual processes and the evidence integrated in each investigation file.
