In Querétaro, the Virgin Mary Undoer of Knots has become a symbol of faith and hope for thousands of faithful who come to venerate her from different parts of the country and the world. Her sanctuary, located in the Querétaro capital, is a place where love, devotion and faith are manifested in white ribbons loaded with the deepest requests of its visitors.
Caritina Sáenz, from Toluca, shared: “We came with great pleasure because my mom is turning 91 and as a birthday present she wanted us to bring her to see this place.” These words reflect the spiritual impact generated by the site, where tradition dictates writing supplications on white ribbons and tying them in the areas designated for this purpose, as a symbol of trust in the intercession of the Virgin.
Origin of the devotion to the Virgin Undoer of Knots
Father Jorge Lozano explained the origin of this devotion, which dates back to Germany in 1615, when a marriage was facing a crisis. She said: “They presented it to the Blessed Virgin on the 28th and miraculously, the knots came undone and they saw it as a sign from heaven that their marriage was going to work.” This story marked the beginning of a faith that has transcended borders and has changed the lives of many people.
Miracles attributed to the Virgin Undoer of Knots
Karla Ángel, a volunteer at the sanctuary in Querétaro, highlighted the miracles granted: “Countless people come, asking for couples who cannot have children, people who have cancer and who have been healed.” Her testimony confirms the stories of transformation that arise in this place of peace and harmony.
Modesta Guardado Morales, a visitor from Tamaulipas, expressed the emotion of her first experience at the sanctuary: “It was very beautiful when I arrived for the first time. It was a beautiful, beautiful experience, it made my skin crawl seeing so many requests and so much joy.”
