The Alegría Contigo Festival is once again coming to the state of Querétaro (with the help of the State DIF System) to light up everyone’s Christmas spirit, seeking to have families celebrate being together in a Christmas atmosphere, where entertainment, fun and, above all, healthy family coexistence is the main objective.
The third edition of the Alegría Contigo Festival will take place from December 1, 2024 to January 5, 2025. There will be no shortage of fun, and among the highlights you will find: parades of allegorical floats, ice rinks, the lighting of the monumental pine tree and this year’s big surprise, a Christmas village where the whole family will be able to witness the presentation of various Christmas events with live characters.
Likewise, the attractions of the Alegría Querétaro Contigo 2024 Festival can be enjoyed in nine municipalities:
San Juan del Río: Monumental Pine, Ice rink and parade in El Centro.
Querétaro: Christmas Village in Plaza Fundadores; ice rink on the esplanade of the Felipe Carrillo Puerto Delegation and two parades: one in the state capital on Av. Constituyentes, and another in the Santa Rosa Jáuregui Delegation.
Corregidora: Parade in El Pueblito and two ice rinks: one in the Candiles neighborhood and another in the Santa Bárbara neighborhood.
El Marqués: Ice rink in the Paseos de El Marqués neighborhood and parade in La Pradera.
Huimilpan: Ice rink in the Jardín de los Enamorados and parade in the Center.
Colón: Parade in the Center
Peñamiller: Parade in the municipal seat
Pinal de Amoles: Parade in the municipal seat.
Jalpan: Ice rink in the center of the municipality in the Plazoleta Hidalgo.
Culture and tradition in Querétaro
During the presentation of the festival to the media, the head of Culture, Ana Paola López Birlain, was present, who highlighted that there are more than 40 activities that will be developed for all ages, such as concerts, pastorelas, theater, cinema, conferences and workshops, among others, having as headquarters cultural venues such as the Museum of the Restoration of the Republic, Museum of the Conspirators, Museum of Art of Querétaro, Museum of the City, Casa del Faldón and Museum of Pinal de Amoles, among others.
You can also experience the coronation of the Queen of Christmas 2024, Victoria II, in Plaza de Armas on December 10. Likewise, the lighting of the Friendship Tree will take place on December 1st as well as the Mega Nativity in the Zenea Garden with the presentation of the Querétaro State Music Band.
