Mazatlán’s Priority Projects for 2025: Infrastructure and Mobility Enhancements

The municipal government of Mazatlán has unveiled an ambitious program of priority projects for 2025, aimed at improving basic infrastructure, mobility, and urban equipment to enhance the port’s development and the quality of life for its residents.

Key Projects

1. Hydrosanitary Network and Paving: Significant upgrades to the hydrosanitary network and the paving of streets and avenues will be carried out simultaneously. These projects will be implemented in various neighborhoods and sectors to modernize and strengthen essential public services.

2. Mobility Improvements: Given Mazatlán’s growth, improving city mobility is a crucial focus. The government plans to construct new bridges, streets, and avenues, with budgets already assigned. These projects aim to alleviate traffic congestion and facilitate transportation.

3. Rainwater Sump Construction: One of the most attention-grabbing projects is the construction of a new sump on Camarón Sábalo Avenue, near the CONAPESCA building. This project, with an investment of approximately 80 million pesos, is essential for enhancing the area’s hydraulic infrastructure and preventing flooding, a common issue during the rainy season.

The Mazatlán government emphasizes that these projects are vital for addressing urban growth challenges and meeting citizens’ needs. With a focus on improving both basic services and mobility, local authorities are optimistic that 2025 will be a year of significant progress for the port.
