The National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) presents the results of the Monthly Indicator of Industrial Activity by Federal Entity (IMAIEF). This provides short-term statistical information at the state level and allows monitoring the behavior of secondary activities in the states.

In August 2024 and with figures adjusted for seasonality, the federal entities that registered the most pronounced monthly growth in their industrial activity, in real terms, were: Nayarit, Durango, Tamaulipas, Guanajuato and Aguascalientes.

In the eighth month of 2024, at an annual rate and with seasonally adjusted series, the states that presented the most significant increases in their industrial production, in real terms, were: Durango, Guanajuato, Nuevo León, Oaxaca, Veracruz, Tamaulipas and the State of Mexico.

With original data and at an annual rate, in August 2024, in the Mining sector, increases stood out in Tamaulipas, Zacatecas, Guanajuato, Michoacán, Colima and Jalisco.

In Generation, transmission, distribution and commercialization of electric energy, water supply and natural gas through pipelines to the final consumer, increases stood out in Nayarit, Michoacán, Oaxaca, Coahuila and Guerrero.

In Construction, the most relevant increases occurred in Durango, Nuevo León, Coahuila and Hidalgo. In Manufacturing Industries, the greatest advances were made in Tabasco, Guanajuato, Morelos, Nuevo León and Baja California Sur.
