Jalisco Philharmonic offers Christmas concert in downtown Guadalajara

On Monday night in the Historic Center of Guadalajara, the Christmas Concert “The Messiah” was performed by the Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra and the Choir of the State of Jalisco. Governor Pablo Lemus stressed that the objective is to bring culture and art to everyone in public spaces.

“And I always thought about when I was going to fulfill that dream that as governor of Jalisco I could come to see our Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra here in the Plaza de la Liberación. It is truly a pleasure for me to do so because I want to introduce the girls and boys of Hogar Cabañas. Last week they invited me to their inn and they are already forming their own orchestra and I wanted to invite them so that they could have the great example given by these great talents that we have in Jalisco in our Philharmonic Orchestra.”

The Historic Center of Guadalajara was illuminated with the emotion and grandeur of “The Messiah” by Georg Friedrich Haendel, a recital attended by Pablo Lemus Navarro, Governor of the State.

This event is part of the free activities for all families offered by the 2024 Ilusionante Winter Festival, which seeks to celebrate Christmas traditions in the Jalisco Style.
