“Zero impunity: the party is over for the criminal groups that operate on the southern border of Mexico with Guatemala.” These are the intentions of Governor Eduardo Ramírez Aguilar, according to Javier Vázquez Moctezuma, the new immigration prosecutor for the government of Chiapas.
He stressed that all criminal groups involved in human trafficking on the southern border will be placed at the disposal of the competent authority, since it is a federal crime that is being committed.
“There are many criminal groups, since we have blind spots from Suchiate to kilometer 10. Therefore, our work will be one of investigation, and all necessary support will be provided to all authorities. We are working in a coordinated manner to establish peace and security on the southern border,” he said.
He added that all human trafficking gangs will fall, one by one, sooner or later, since work is being done without impunity, as requested by the governor of Chiapas, Ramírez Aguilar.
He pointed out that the southern border with Guatemala is very complex, so the work that must be done is arduous and heavy, but not impossible. In addition, they have the support of all the security corporations.
He stressed that a frontal fight is being waged against criminals, whoever falls. If there are gangs within the National Migration Institute that charge for carrying out procedures or transporting migrants by road, this will also be applied
“The issue of migrants is very sensitive, since the only thing they seek is better living conditions for themselves and their families. Therefore, they must also be protected from the crime that operates on the southern border,” he added.
