According to the Program Heroes Paisanos, this day in Reynosa —a Tamaulipas city bordering McAllen, Texas —members of the “Caravana Héroes Migrantes de Arroyo Seco y la Sierra Gorda” also entered.

Through this program, Mexican authorities coordinate to safeguard the safety of travelers to their destination.

Yesterday, approximately 30,000 compatriots and some 7,000 vehicles crossed.

José Carmona Flores, coordinator of the National Council of Legislators and Leaders of Mexican Migrants (Conalym), said that this Friday the flow of compatriots from Laredo, Texas, to the border city of Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, continues.

Together with federal deputy José Narro Céspedes, as well as the Consul General of Mexico in Laredo, Juan Carlos Mendoza, and federal commanders, they supervise the entry of compatriots.

“More than 5,000 vehicles that make up the largest caravan of compatriots of the winter season enter Mexican territory through Nuevo Laredo within the framework of the program Heroes Paisanos,” he indicated.

Carmona specified that this number was the one that crossed yesterday, but that this Friday the flow continues.

Authorities said that the caravan that enters through Nuevo Laredo to Mexico is escorted by members of the National and State Guards during the section of the International Bridge number 2, up to the Kilometer 26 Checkpoint.
