Diana Leos, mother of Roberto Treviño Leos, narrated how her son gave her the news that he and his friend Iván Escalante Tamez were already free, thanking the entire community for the show of solidarity they had in sharing the investigation of him and his friend.

“It was very fast, Roberto called me on his cell phone and Iván called his mother on his cell phone and they told us that they had already released us, come for us,” Diana Leos told El Heraldo de Chihuahua.

She explained that they immediately went to the point where they had been left alive to move to a point where a small plane that they had already rented was waiting for them, for when they were released and to go to this city.

“We went to the airport and for days there was already a small plane that we had rented for the moment that they were released so that we could leave immediately” she explained.

Roberto’s mother stressed that once the young men met with their families, they boarded a small plane bound for this capital city, without even taking them to a medical check-up at a hospital in Mazatlán. She explained that Roberto’s girlfriend brought with her a first aid kit to check them during the transfer, in case they had any injuries or bruises.

FGE confirms that bodies found in Concordia, Sinaloa are not those of the missing Chihuahuans
Although a few days ago the media in Sinaloa speculated that the bodies could be those of Iván and Roberto, the Attorney General of that state indicated that this is not the case
Once they arrived in the capital of Chihuahua, they were received by their families; in addition to notifying the Attorney General’s Office of the State that they were already well, to which the agency informed them that in order to drop the investigations of both young men, they needed a photo of each one holding a blank sheet of paper with the date they were found alive.

It is important to remember that before being found alive, Roberto and Iván had last been seen in the early hours of Monday, December 16, outside the Nice nightclub in Mazatlán, Sinaloa. However, not knowing their whereabouts, the family began a search both in said municipality and on social media.
