At the beginning of this year, the state of Guerrero reports an average hotel occupancy of 95.49%, thousands of tourists came to enjoy the good weather, gastronomy and beautiful landscapes offered by this destination in the South Pacific.
Broken down by tourist destination, Acapulco reported an occupancy of 96.1%, thousands of visitors came to this port to enjoy its beaches, the Gala Fireworks show and the drones that served to say goodbye to the year 2024 and welcome 2025.
Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo has a hotel occupancy of 95.4%, with the advantage that apart from receiving national tourism, it also has the arrival of visitors from the USA and Canada, who come fleeing the cold of their countries of origin and maintain long stays in Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo.
The colonial city of Taxco reached 75.8% occupancy and although it looked full of visitors, many of the tourists coming from the central part of the country arrive in the morning and after walking around return to their places of origin at night and the large number of visitors is not reflected in the hotel occupancy.
The fireworks gala and the drone show were a huge success in the port of Acapulco, thousands of locals and visitors crowded the beaches to enjoy this spectacle, which was also replicated in Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, Taxco and Chilpancingo.
