Property Tax Payment in Mérida 2025: Discounts, Incentives, and Payment Locations

As the new year begins, residents of Mérida are reminded of the upcoming property tax payments. The City Council of Mérida has announced discounts of up to 30% for prompt payment, similar to previous years.

The discounts for the fiscal year 2025 are as follows:

– 30% for payments made in January.

– 15% for payments made in February.

– 8% for payments made in March.

Incentives for Property Owners

The City Council also offers several incentives:

– Stimulus Program: Retirees, pensioners, older adults, and people with disabilities can receive discounts ranging from 50% to 100%.

– Climate Change Action Program: Property owners with residential use and those with commercial use who have installed solar panels can receive a discount of up to 15%.

– Green Roof Program: Property owners with residential use who have installed green roofs can receive a discount of up to 15%.

– SME Support Program: Property owners and usufructuaries of properties housing Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (Mipymes) can receive a discount of up to 15%.

Payment Methods and Locations

Property tax payments can be made using various methods:

– Check: Issued to the Municipality of Mérida, Yucatán.

– Credit or Debit Card: Visa and MasterCard accepted.

– Cash: Accepted at designated locations.

– Electronic Transfer: Request the capture line by emailing [email protected] with your account statement or property details.

For convenience, payments can also be made online, at authorized companies, banks, and stores, including Abarrotes Dunosusa, Banorte, Banamex, Scotiabank, Inverlat, BBVA, and HSBC. Soon, payments will also be accepted at Super Willys, Italika, Elektra, Oxxo, and Banco Azteca.

– North: Plaza México (One-Stop Shop), Plaza Fiesta (One-Stop Shop), Plaza Akrópolis (One-Stop Shop), Gran Plaza (One-Stop Shop), Plaza Altabrisa, and City Center.

– East: Plaza Oriente (Single Window), Plaza Kukulkán, and Los Héroes.

– West: Administrative Building (Single Window), Plaza Las Américas (Single Window), Public Property Registry (Single Window), San Damián (Single Window), Xoclán Cemetery, and Caucel Pericenter (Single Window).
