Woman who threw boiling oil at a restaurant worker in Veracruz will remain in jail

The Veracruz Attorney General’s Office reported that Jasmín “N”, identified as the probable person responsible for having thrown boiling oil at another woman on December 29, was linked to the process for the crimes of intentional qualified injuries and threats.

According to the Veracruz Attorney General’s Office, the woman is in justified preventive detention due to the crimes indicated.

Jasmín “N” was arrested on December 31 in Veracruz after having been a fugitive from justice since last Sunday, when the aggression for which she was wanted occurred.

The local Ministerial Police indicated that they carried out the arrest against the possible aggressor in the area of ​​the port of Veracruz, from where Jasmín “N” allegedly sought to evade justice.

In this regard, it is known that Jasmine “N” attacked a woman with boiling oil, an employee of a kitchen located on Avenida Atenas Veracruzana, Colonia Revolución, Xalapa, whom she not only attacked, but also threatened.

The prosecution indicated that the defendant “physically attacked the victim, causing injuries to her body as a result of burns caused by boiling oil.”

The events occurred last Sunday in an establishment located in Colonia Revolución, in Xalapa; the judicial process facing the detainee was identified as 1242/2024.
