A violent day was experienced in San Miguel de Allende with at least four armed attacks recorded in different neighborhoods of the municipality, leaving a balance of seven people dead, including a woman.
Couple shot dead in Ejido de Tirado
The bloody day began in the early hours of Monday, December 30, where a couple was shot dead in Ejido de Tirado.
Juan Carlos “N” and a woman still unidentified left their home in search of their lost dog, but were intercepted by armed men who ended their lives.
Young man executed in Jardines II
Hours later, in the Jardines II neighborhood, Cristian Manuel “N” was shot dead when he was about to get into a truck.
Witnesses say that the victim was the brother of a former employee of the Municipal Presidency.
Triple homicide in Lomas de San Antonio
The violence escalated in the afternoon in the Lomas de San Antonio neighborhood, where three people were shot dead.
Among the victims was Ángel “N”, former candidate for mayor for the La Mazorca party in 2018, who allegedly had ties to the current municipal administration.
Man murdered in Ejido de Cerritos
In Ejido de Cerritos, the discovery of the body of a man was reported, although it was not reported if he showed signs of violence.
So far, the victim has not been identified and the causes of death are unknown.
