The National College of Professional Technical Education (Conalep) in Baja California Sur (BCS) is being transformed to offer, starting with the 2025-2026 school year, two new careers, Administration and Medical Emergency Care. This was reported by Sandra Lili Herrera Nagafuchi, director of the Educational Subsystem.
She specified that the Administration career will have a focus on the English language in the municipality of Los Cabos, while in La Paz, the sales area, derived from the needs of the labor market, which allows for greater connection with the productive sector.
The director said that the institution also offers technical areas in tourism, food and beverages, nursing and electromechanics, as excellent study and preparation options for high school students, by receiving quality technical training and preparation in accordance with the productive needs of the region, as well as for the benefit of the graduating youth.
In this regard, she commented that during the new school year there will be new workshops and a virtual reality laboratory, in which young people will be able to have a broader approach to their field of specialization, preparing them according to new technologies.
She also added that the pre-registration period and dissemination in secondary schools in La Paz and Los Cabos will begin at the end of February, where students will be able to learn more about the educational offer that is offered.
Finally, Lili Herrera highlighted that Conalep is one of the educational institutions at the high school level with the greatest recognition in the state and in the country, since graduates have the opportunity to have a technical professional certificate and a labor certification in the area in which they specialize, thus guaranteeing the quality of the jobs to be performed, forming leaders with a vision for the future.
