On the Punta de Mita peninsula, amidst the jungle and the coasts of the Riviera Nayarit, W Punta de Mita presents RUBRA, the new restaurant by Chef Daniela Soto-Innes, who brings to Mexico the manifestation of her creative and culinary vision. Rubra is Soto-Innes’ first project since leaving her restaurant Cosme in New York City.

After having received numerous world awards, including the Best Chef in the World awarded by The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, Daniela Soto-Innes presents at Rubra a cuisine in which creativity is based on movement, transformation and the cycles of its ingredients. The cuisine will carry Soto-Innes’ distinctive touch, with crops from her garden and a focus on tropical cuisine, integrating a coffee shop menu, a Bar and Wine menu, and a dinner menu that can be a tasting menu or a la carte.

Rubra was designed by Mexican architects Ana Paula de Alba and Ignacio Urquiza, making a discreet intervention, in which the use of a single, completely customized material inspired by the nearby islands of the Sierra Madre Sur, evokes a classic Mexican architecture of the Pacific coast. Every aspect of this new restaurant carries the creativity of Soto-Innes and her team, composed almost entirely of women, from the name that means: to embody, to the design of the space, the wine bar and the dishes.

With the accompaniment of Estefanía and Valentina Brito, Venezuelan sisters who worked with Soto-Innes in New York, adding all their knowledge in hospitality and haute cuisine in a new experience for guests, visitors and residents of Punta de Mita.

With an immersive experience in the nature of the Riviera Nayarit, Rubra opens within W Punta de Mita, adding to the gastronomic offer of this renovated resort.
