Nayarit was recognized with three awards at the Best of Mexico 2025 Awards, organized by México Desconocido magazine in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism. The results were announced during the 2025 Mexico Tourism Fair, held in Baja California.
The state received recognition for “Best Community Tourism Experience” for the spiritual experience in the Wixárika region; “Best Beach to Discover in 2025,” awarded to Lo de Marcos; and “Best State to Discover Destinations by Road,” highlighting its road network and tourism offerings.
The winners were selected based on votes from travelers and industry experts, who evaluated the country’s most representative tourism experiences in different categories. The process seeks to highlight the strengths of Mexican destinations and promote their cultural, natural, and community richness.
The awards position Nayarit as one of the most attractive emerging destinations for national and international tourism, reinforcing its promotion and sustainable development strategy in different regions of the state.
