Colima entrepreneur Ximena Figueroa has captured the attention of social media after revealing the successful sale of 970 Costco Roscas de Reyes, purchased in branches in Guadalajara. Despite the controversy generated by this type of mass purchases, Figueroa managed to place all of her product in Manzanillo and Cihuatlán, towns where the famous self-service store does not exist.

Initially, Figueroa had announced the purchase of 800 roscas, but the high demand led her to acquire an additional batch of 170 pieces.

“I finished all the COSTCO ROSCAS Guadalajara Manzanillo and Cihuatlán again, here we go!!! … 800 roscas ordered, I only have 50 extra,” she shared on her social media.

Figueroa’s initiative has divided opinions among users. While some celebrate her venture and the possibility of enjoying the traditional bread in their towns, others criticize this type of practice, arguing that it limits access to the product for other consumers.

These types of situations have become recurrent in Costco stores, where the high demand for certain products has generated confrontations between customers. In the past, similar incidents have been reported over the purchase of cakes, fans and other high-turnover items.

Ximena Figueroa’s story highlights the growing popularity of Costco’s Roscas de Reyes and the willingness of some consumers to buy large quantities to resell them, generating both business opportunities and controversy on social media.
