180 elements of the Mexican Army arrived in Tabasco to reinforce security

After the intense day of violence reported on Monday night in the city of Villahermosa, Tabasco, this morning 120 elements of the Infantry Battalion of Military Camp No. 1 and Special Forces were deployed, in addition to 60 more troops who will arrive by land from the state of Campeche.

The military personnel left from Hangar Number 1 of the National Guard, located in Mexico City (CDMX).

The governor of Tabasco, Javier May, supported the security actions and thanked the support of President Claudia Sheinbaum, as well as the Secretariat of National Defense.

Upon his arrival, the governor welcomed them through his social networks.

What happened in Villahermosa, Tabasco?

This Monday night in the city of Villahermosa, Tabasco, various shooting attacks were reported.

The first case occurred on Niños Héroes Street in the Atasta neighborhood in Villahermosa, where a group of armed men shot the driver of a car, who managed to survive and was taken to a hospital.

Later, a shooting attack was reported against two State Police officers on the federal highway Villahermosa in the direction of Cárdenas, however, one of the officers died and the other was injured.

In addition, several coolers with a dismembered body were found in the cemetery of the municipality of Nacajuca.

In light of this situation, the authorities launched an operation in the capital of Tabasco.
