“El M”, leader of the Caborca ​​Cartel and nephew of Caro Quintero, arrested in Oaxaca

Elements of the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC) of the state of Oaxaca arrested yesterday, Monday, Martín Caro Monge, son of José Gil “El Pelo Chino” Caro Quintero, leaders of the Caborca ​​Cartel.

Caro Monge, “El M” and/or “El Uno”, and his father José Gil “El Pelo Chino”, are considered the main generators of violence in the southern area of ​​Quintana Roo.

Both “El M” and “El Pelo Chino”, through the Caborca ​​Cartel, maintain a presence in the states of Quintana Roo, Campeche, Tabasco, Chiapas, Veracruz, Guerrero and Sonora.

According to the SSPC, the arrest occurred within the framework of an operation carried out in the town of Pinotepa Nacional, in the state of Oaxaca, which both dominate.

Caro Monge is considered one of the alleged leaders who control the trafficking of cocaine and fentanyl to the United States, along with the Arreolas, the Russian Cartel, the Maríns and the Martínezs.

According to a police report, “El Uno” is linked to the disappearance of several women in the Oaxaca region, whom he allegedly kidnapped, raped and executed.

The same report indicates that Monge is one of the main people involved in the wave of violence unleashed in Quintana Roo, Oaxaca, Guerrero and Sonora.
