With the aim of reactivating the economy and tourism in the Bay of Altata Navolato, this Sunday, January 19, the event “Altata Late Fuerte” will be held, which will fill with flavor and tradition with the celebration of the Great Ceviche Festival.

Humberto Burgos de Samayoa, director of Economic Development of Navolato, highlighted that the festival aims to be a starting point for the local economy, promoting merchants, as well as promoting regional products such as craft beer and traditional cuisine.

For her part, Paloma Olivares, president of Muelle 33 and representative of restaurateurs, highlighted that this event seeks to highlight the gastronomic wealth of Altata and strengthen local consumption.

The restaurateur explained that this event will have the participation of 35 local restaurants which will prepare the mega ceviche of approximately 500 kilos for approximately 1,500 people.

She also commented that this will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in an open and accessible space near the where free tastings of ceviche and other seafood delicacies will be offered.

“There are 500 tons of shrimp and it is estimated that this has an estimated capacity for 1,500 people,” she said.

Finally, Laura Guzmán, president of Canirac, assured that all the necessary security and logistic measures will be in place to offer a totally family-friendly atmosphere.

The event, which promises to be a great gathering to enjoy with the family, will be completely free and open to the public, so the organizers invite citizens to participate and enjoy the benefits of Altata, highlighting the importance of tourism as an economic engine of the region.
