The metropolitan area of Tampico, Madero and Altamira is getting ready to receive one of the most anticipated events of the year: the Tamaulipas Carnival 2025.
With a program full of music, dances and parades of floats, which promises to be a unique cultural showcase for the inhabitants and tourists who come to this event.
The Secretary of Tourism of Tamaulipas, Benjamín Hernández Rodríguez, highlighted that this party will be one of the main strategies to position the carnival festivities of the southern part of the state as the best carnival in the Mexican northeast.
“Our objective is for the carnival of the metropolitan area to consolidate itself as a cultural reference in the region, not only for its organization and creativity, but also for the participation of the three municipalities involved,” said Benjamín Hernández Rodríguez.
One of the main attractions of the event will be the parades of floats, in which the talent and creativity of the local groups can be appreciated. The parade route is expected to be an explosion of color and music, inviting all those present to enjoy the magic of the carnival.
In addition, there will be prizes valued at more than 1.3 million pesos for the most outstanding participants, who have distinguished themselves by their creativity and skill in dance and the making of the floats.
Hernández Rodríguez highlighted that this event will be very special thanks to the active participation of the three municipalities that make up the metropolitan area, although surprises will also be offered with the participation of other states. Among them, there will be the presence of Veracruz, which will be participating as an exhibition, which will enrich the cultural offering.
This year, the carnival will be promoted not only in the state of Tamaulipas, but also in key cities such as Mexico City, San Luis Potosí and Nuevo León, in order to attract tourists from different parts of the country.
“Our goal is to make this carnival not only a local festival, but to be recognized throughout Mexico,” said the Secretary of Tourism.
The 2025 Tamaulipas Carnival will not only be a display of joy and tradition, but also an opportunity to strengthen unity between the municipalities of the metropolitan area of Tampico, Madero and Altamira.
With a varied program, full of music, dance and surprises, this event is expected to mark a before and after in the history of carnivals in northeastern Mexico.
