The Secretary of Security and Peace in Guanajuato, Juan Mauro González Martínez, confirmed that in the state spaces have been detected where criminal groups “train” people, to later recruit them in their criminal activities.
He revealed that they have been located in the same places where there is a presence of organized crime: the Laja Bajío area, mountain areas, the area bordering Michoacán and Jalisco.
“We have indeed detected some places where criminal groups recruit and train criminals. This is information that is being worked on, that is being processed and that all the authorities of the three levels of Government are working in a coordinated manner and above all, taking these actions to return the security and tranquility of Guanajuato,” he said.
He pointed out that this was discovered as part of the investigations and actions carried out by the State Government together with the Armed Forces, the Prosecutor’s Office and the National Intelligence Center.
