The Palestinian ambassador to Mexico, Nadya Rasheed, will be in Tepic next Sunday, January 26, to hold a cultural meeting with the citizens of Nayarit.
The committee “Nayarit Solidario con Palestina” called for this activity in which academic, cultural and political movements participate.
Prior to the arrival of the diplomat, there will be activities to disseminate and inform about the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
On Sunday, January 26, a rally will be held in the gazebo of the main square of Tepic at 4:00 p.m., where the ambassador will give a message to build “bridges of hope, justice and dignity, as well as the importance of solidarity between peoples.”
Likewise, the committee will be in charge of carrying out an artistic-cultural event on the same day, organized by the Popular University of Social Movements (UPMS).
Authorities from different levels of government in the state were invited to these activities, but the Organizing Committee has not released the list of officials who agreed to participate, although there are some deputies and collaborators for the reception.
According to the committee “Nayarit Solidario con Palestina” its objective is “to make the fight for freedom visible and to generate awareness about injustices, because from any corner of the world, solidarity is a more powerful weapon.”
