On January 19, local media in Nayarit reported a spectacular accident on Federal Highway 15 Tepic-Guadalajara that left one person injured and in which a high-end vehicle was involved. It was a Cullinan model truck from the Rolls-Royce company, which crashed into a barrier after the driver lost control.
It is presumed that the young man whose identity has been withheld was traveling at excessive speed, which prevented him from maneuvering to avoid the impact. The images of the incident show that the truck went off the road and stopped after colliding with a traffic sign.
Unofficial reports indicate that this vehicle could be registered in the name of one of the sons of Joaquín ‘El Chapo’ Guzmán. However, the information has not been corroborated by any authority.
In the automotive industry, Rolls-Royce is a manufacturer recognized for the creation of personalized luxury vehicles. Information shared by the company indicates that the list price of the Cullinan pickup truck, in its simplest version and updated until 2024, is 391 thousand 750 dollars, equivalent to eight million 82 thousand 828 pesos at the current exchange rate.
Some examples of the luxury that this vehicle offers its buyers is the inclusion of a champagne cooler and a whiskey decanter below the center console, between the driver and co-pilot seats. In addition, each of the seats has a massage system that can be configured individually.
Likewise, the Cullinan pickup trucks have high-definition touch monitors connected to a Blu-ray player. The entertainment system of this vehicle is complemented by 18 speakers distributed throughout the unit.
Another detail that the manufacturer highlights about the Cullinan is the installation of a “viewing suite”, since when opening the trunk it is possible to find a pair of seats and a cocktail table with leather finishes designed to contemplate landscapes.
In terms of vehicle performance, Rolls-Royce boasts that the Cullinans can reach a top speed of 250 kilometres per hour and are capable of accelerating from zero to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds. Furthermore, these vehicles are equipped with a four-wheel drive system that allows for easy driving on sand, snow and rain. Using a controller installed on the console, the driver can choose the settings for each type of situation.
