A man was shot to death on Wednesday afternoon in the municipality of San Miguel de Allende.
The murder occurred in a vacant lot where the victim lived with other people, according to authorities at the scene.
The 911 emergency number received several calls after 12:30 noon from neighbors in the Santa Julia neighborhood.
They reported that at least eight gunshots had been heard on Conde de la Canal Street.
Paramedics from the Red Cross responded to the call from the officers and examined the man who had already died.
The place was cordoned off to prevent curious neighbors from contaminating the scene.
After the Criminal Investigation agents (AIC), from the State Attorney’s Office carried out the expert appraisal, the body of the victim was taken to the Semefo facilities to the tears of relatives who arrived at the scene.
