Viva Aerobus will expand its operations from the Querétaro International Airport (AIQ), where it plans to operate a direct flight between Querétaro and Tijuana.
In addition, starting in April, the airline will increase the frequencies of the Monterrey to Querétaro route.
The announcements were made within the framework of the International Tourism Fair (Fitur) 2025, which is taking place in Madrid, Spain, in a meeting between the director of Corporate Communications of the airline, Walfred Castro, and the governor of Querétaro, Mauricio Kuri González.
The director explained that they will remove the stops on the route that links Querétaro with Tijuana, so that it functions as a direct flight and, in this way, improve passenger connectivity.
He also confirmed that on April 2, activities will begin on the direct route from Querétaro to Dallas, Texas.
“We are an ally of tourism and, therefore, our commitment to strengthening air connectivity is key and constant,” he declared.
In a meeting with the Querétaro delegation, representatives of the airline presented an investment project for the state, which they will present soon, the state government stated in a press release.
