New educational facilities will be delivered in January and February in Los Cabos, with the aim of expanding the offer of spaces for primary and secondary school students.
These schools include a primary school in the Miranda Azteca neighborhood, in Cabo San Lucas, as well as a primary and a secondary school in the La Ballena area, in San José del Cabo. The facilities have classrooms, sanitary modules, offices, a multipurpose court and a perimeter fence, allowing the start of operations in the coming weeks.
During the remainder of January and during next February, the Institute of Educational Physical Infrastructure (ISIFE) will deliver the buildings of a primary school in Cabo San Lucas, another primary school and a secondary school in San José del Cabo, reported Pablo Cota Núñez, head of the agency.
He commented that, in the coming weeks, it is planned to deliver all the furniture, so that the primary school center located in the Miranda Azteca neighborhood, in Cabo San Lucas, can begin operations.
The ISIFE general director explained that the schools being built on the La Ballena property in San José del Cabo are in the final stage, and are therefore expected to begin providing educational services during the month of February.
Cota Núñez announced that the first stage of the new facilities has three classrooms, sanitary service modules, administrative offices, a multipurpose court and a perimeter fence, with an investment of over 60 million pesos.
In this regard, he added that, during the current state administration, more than 763 million pesos have been allocated to building and improving educational spaces in the five municipalities, of which 307 million have been spent on the municipality of Los Cabos.
