February will bring prosperity for the tourism sector of Mazatlán, since three important dates are the long weekend, the celebration of Valentine’s Day and the start of the 2025 International Carnival.
The president of the National Chamber of the Restaurant and Seasoned Food Industry, Erick Mandujano Caro, mentioned that labor bridges always attract a greater number of visitors to the port and the one on February 5 will be four days, from Friday, January 31, from the Technical School Council, to Monday, February 3.
“We have the mega bridge this weekend and we hope to have a 60 percent increase in sales with the arrival of tourists,” he said.
Mandujano Caro mentioned that the restaurants affiliated with Canirac are preparing their promotions for the celebration of February 14, Valentine’s Day.
“February 14 has always been a good date, since couples, groups of friends and families come to eat at restaurants for breakfast, lunch or dinner,” he said.
The restaurant leader said that according to hoteliers for the Mazatlán International Carnival, which will be from February 27 to March 4, the occupancy expectation is up to 90 percent.
He is confident that confidence will be regained so that the port returns to the growth momentum it had before September 2024.
