The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Nayarit reported the arrest of three subjects linked to the disappearance of three members of a family that was heading from Culiacán, Sinaloa, to Tepic, who were located in a clandestine grave on January 24.

Two of the subjects, identified as José Luis “N” and Raúl Manuel “N”, were arrested by elements of the Criminal Investigation Agency for their probable participation in the crimes of robbery, assault, criminal association, aggravated kidnapping and disappearance of persons against the couple and their nephew.

It should be remembered that the couple and their nephew were located in a clandestine grave in Nayarit after they contacted their relatives to request 40 thousand pesos in two payments, presumably for the repair of the car in which they were traveling.

A third subject, identified as Sebastián de Jesús “N”, was arrested for his alleged responsibility in covering up the crimes of robbery, assault, criminal association, aggravated kidnapping and disappearance of persons.

Infobae México was able to learn that the three detainees are part of a criminal group of young people who were dedicated to robbery in the northern area of ​​Nayarit, who were placed at the disposal of the First Instance Control Judge of the Accusatory and Oral Criminal System, based in Tepic.

Laura Elena Acosta Pérez, her husband Roel López Duarte and her nephew Jesús Manuel Serrano Avendaño, were traveling aboard a white Toyota Camry vehicle from the municipality of Culiacán, Sinaloa, heading to Tepic at the beginning of January.

The last time they contacted their relatives was on January 8, when they were in the town of La Concha – bordering the state of Nayarit – to request the amount of 40 thousand pesos in two payments, presumably for the repair of the car, however, they did not hear from them again.

After the request and after losing contact, the relatives filed the report of their disappearance on January 9 and began to spread the case through social networks.

The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Nayarit (FGEN) reported that during the investigations they located a clandestine grave in the town of Pescadero, municipality of Rosamorada in the state of Nayarit, where the bodies of the family were found.

In the grave, located almost 68 kilometers away from the town where the three relatives last communicated, ballistic evidence was also found.

In addition, the prosecutor’s office detailed that two vehicles that had been reported stolen were also seized during the operation: a red Mazda CX-3 and the car in which the three people were traveling to Tepic.
