In this talk, the Durango native will address the architectural wealth and cultural legacy of the Baroque in one of the most emblematic routes of the viceroyalty: the Camino Real de Tierra Adentro, a route of great historical importance that was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2010.
This meeting represents an opportunity for the people of Durango to learn more about the influence of the Baroque in New Spain architecture and its impact on the history of Mexico.
The talk with the architect will begin at 5:00 p.m. in the Episcopal Gallery of the Museum of Sacred Art of the Durango Cathedral, with access through Negrete Street.
Admission is free and is aimed at all those interested in art, history and culture.
