Security has been one of the demands and challenges for the new administration of the magical town of San Cristóbal de Las Casas.
Alerta Chiapas went out to the streets of this municipality to find out the perception that visitors and locals have about the security of this city.
Tourists have gradually returned to the magical town and according to official figures, during the past December holiday season there was a 10% increase in the influx of visitors, compared to the same month of the previous year.
Locals have also noticed how the security of this municipality has been strengthened in recent months, with the presence of police officers and patrols, in addition to the new lights that illuminate the magical town.
