The Chamber of Commerce in Querétaro considered that the recent negotiation between the federal government and the United States authorities left favorable results for the country, by achieving the temporary suspension of the tariffs announced by President Donald Trump, said its president, Lorena Muñoz.

She highlighted the importance of this management and the role played by President Claudia Sheinbaum and her team in defending Mexico’s position.

“The work carried out during this week of negotiations was fundamental to maintaining commercial stability,” she said.

She pointed out that, although it is key to preserve relations within the T-MEC, these events should serve as an opportunity to explore new markets.

“It is time to look at other regions such as Europe, Asia and Latin America. From the Chamber of Commerce we have established links with Colombia and Guatemala, where there is potential to strengthen the presence of Querétaro,” she explained.

Muñoz also highlighted the need to diversify exports and seek business partners interested in strategic sectors, such as metalworking and food, beyond the United States.
