Starting March 30, 2025, a new daily flight frequency from Monterrey to Toluca will be available to travelers, through the airline Volaris, which has reported that with this new route it will expand its presence in the city, since it will have seven national destinations.
Tickets for the new Toluca-Monterrey route are now available at the sales modules and through the airline’s digital platforms.
Volaris airline announced that the direct route will strengthen its operation and connectivity with destinations in the north and center of Mexico, in addition, it highlighted that this direct flight coincides with the Easter holiday period, date from which this route will be available.

Volaris already has a flight from Monterrey to Toluca, which has a stopover at the airports of Tijuana, Guadalajara and Cancun, but after the opening of the new daily route without stopovers, tickets can be purchased from 21 pesos with the Zero fare
One of the options indicates a Monterrey-Toluca flight for 21 pesos with the Zero fare, 316 with the basic fare and 1,057 with the plus fare, plus the cost of the TUA.
How long does the Monterrey-Toluca flight take on Volaris?
The Monterrey to Toluca flight has a schedule of 1 hour and 25 minutes without stopovers.
Volaris began operations in Toluca nine years ago, during which time it has transported more than eight million users. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it suspended operations and it was in 2022 when it reactivated its flights to Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, Tijuana, Guadalajara, Los Cabos and Huatulco.
The new frequency announced by Volaris coincides with the renovations that will be carried out at the international airports of Mexico City, Toluca and Cuernavaca, which were considered by FIFA as one of the host air terminals for the 2026 World Cup, which will take place in Mexico, the United States and Canada.
“At the Toluca International Airport, we will seek to increase its capacity with the aim of receiving more passengers and opening new routes, since it only offers domestic destinations.”
During 2024, the Toluca International Airport received more than 1.5 million passengers, however, it has the capacity to receive up to five million passengers. It only offers domestic flights to Monterrey, Tijuana, Cancun, Merida, Guadalajara, Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta through the airlines Viva Aerobus and Volaris.
