Within the activities for the 2025 Valentine’s Day Festival, the Municipal Institute of Culture of Guadalupe, Zacatecas, announced the Illustration Contest “Amor Guadalupe”, which will award a single prize of two thousand pesos to the winner.
Raúl Guerrero Chávez, head of the Cultural Development department, explained that, to participate in the contest there is no age limit, but one of the requirements is that they be residents of the municipality.
Highlighting that this is an initiative aimed at graphic artists, the thematic axis of the proposals must be about love and justify the works, which must be registered via a form that is already published on the social networks of the Municipal Institute of Culture.
The deadline to send the registration is until February 13 and in addition, with all the illustrations that arrive, a collective exhibition will be held to make the talent of the Guadalupeans visible.
The jury will be made up of City Hall staff, teachers from the Municipal Institute of Culture and tattoo artist Agustín Salcedo.
The winner will be announced during the festival activities that will include artistic programming on February 13 and 14; the program includes the participation of a danzón group for senior citizens, musical groups playing rock and trova genres live, among other activities for the enjoyment of the whole family.
