The Parque Lineal Ferrocarril is now a reality and the great family of Durango enjoys it as a meeting point for recreation, sports and coexistence. What was once an abandoned space has now become a new green lung for the city.
Adriana Vázquez, a resident of the area, expressed her enthusiasm for the transformation of the place: “Before, it was a land where garbage was thrown, without lighting and with constant flooding. Today we see roads, green areas and a space that invites us to live together as a family, play sports and revitalize the local economy.”
In addition to improving the urban image and offering a safe space for the community, the Parque Lineal Ferrocarril promotes the development of the area and strengthens the local economy. “We know that with decent spaces, commerce is also strengthened. This work will bring more economic movement for everyone,” said Vázquez.
One of the most emblematic points within the project is the renovation of the baseball stadium “El Triángulo”, which will now offer better facilities for fans of the king of sports.
Nearby neighborhoods, such as Armando del Castillo, Francisco Zarco, Forestal and Arturo Gámiz, are already experiencing the benefits of this modern and functional space.
The Parque Lineal Ferrocarril not only changes the image of the city, but also consolidates itself as a symbol of well-being and development for the people of Durango.
