Puebla and Morelos strengthen security and boost their economic development

With the aim of creating safe states and under the direction of President Claudia Sheinbaum, the governor of Puebla, Alejandro Armenta and his counterpart from the State of Morelos, Margarita González Saravia, signed a Framework Agreement for Collaboration to Address Issues of Common Interest.

The head of the executive indicated that everything that represents a safe country implies development, for this reason he reported that both entities will carry out the Expo Morelos and Puebla, with the purpose of triggering tourism and the economy.

Alejandro Armenta pointed out that the agreement strengthens the inter-institutional work between both governments. He reiterated that in Puebla, security issues are addressed every day and are done in a coordinated manner with the different levels of government.

Meanwhile, the governor of Morelos, Margarita González Saravia, affirmed that as neighboring states and with bordering municipalities, they have common issues that must be worked on, such as security. “They know that they have neighbors who love them, that we have economic, social, security and border issues, but that they have a solution since we will work hand in hand,” she said.

The governor assured that the authorities of the two entities have the political will to work together for the construction of peace. She also confirmed the organization of the expo to promote and strengthen tourism development.

For his part, the Secretary of Government of Morelos, Juan Salgado Brito, explained that with the signing of the agreement, the coordination links with the neighboring entities are strengthened, in compliance with the instructions of President Claudia Sheinbaum to guarantee security for the inhabitants.

In his speech, the Secretary of Public Security of Puebla, Vice Admiral Francisco Sánchez González, highlighted the importance of instituting coordination between the states since the communication routes constitute alternative routes to other points of the country. “This cooperation not only serves as a model of efficiency, it also benefits both entities in economic matters by improving the perception of security.”

For his part, the interim commander of the VI Military Region, Hector Ávila Alcocer, asserted that agreements between neighboring states generate positive and conclusive results, all with the sole purpose of providing well-being and security to the population.

With this agreement, Puebla and Morelos reaffirm their commitment to generate more effective public policies, improve the quality of life of the population, promote the strengthening of municipalities under guiding principles such as governance and internal policy; economic and agricultural development; education, public health and promotion of tourism.
