Fourteen police officers from the municipality of Nacajuca, arrested during a search of a ranch, were brought to trial for their alleged participation in the crimes of carrying a firearm and drug dealing, reported the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE).
The agency specified that a total of 16 people were ordered to be held in preventive detention, since in addition to the 14 uniformed officers there are two civilians.
The FGE reported, through a statement, that after being brought before the jurisdictional authority, the 14 public servants and the other two people were placed under the precautionary measure of justified preventive detention.
The 16 defendants were placed at the disposal of the Control Court of Judicial Region Six, according to criminal case 57/2025.
The institution indicated that it maintains effective and coordinated work with other authorities, with the interest of contributing to the fight against crimes of social impact.
