Sinaloa has seen a Monday of clashes and shootings in various areas of the state. As a result, two people have died.
In addition, nine people were injured by gunshots and were taken to different hospitals.
The Public Security Secretariat of the State of Sinaloa reported on the clashes, and detailed that the affected neighborhoods are: Cañadas, Infonavit Barrancos, Antonio Nakayama, Plutarco Elías Calles, Adolfo Ruíz Cortines and Felipe Ángeles.
“At this time, a strong operation is being maintained in the area, which is already secured,” said the State Security Secretariat.
Illegal dispensaries and casinos attacked in Sinaloa
Simultaneously and within minutes of each other, several homes that were set up as illegal casinos and others as dispensaries were attacked in the capital of Sinaloa.
So far, no injuries have been reported.
Authorities reported that one of the buildings attacked is located between Pirul and Robles streets in the Rafael Buelna neighborhood. In this building, which is used as an illegal casino, men in a red vehicle fired repeatedly with long weapons.
Almost simultaneously, another attack was reported by an armed group traveling in a white vehicle on a commercial premises in a plaza – used as a dispensary – located on Juan José Ríos Street, between Jesús G. Andrade and Aquiles Serdán, in the Miguel Alemán neighborhood.
Another attack was also reported in the El Barrio neighborhood against another building, another in the Margarita neighborhood and one more in the Guadalupe Victoria neighborhood.
