When will the Hello Kitty Fan Fest 2025 be?
The Hello Kitty Fan Fest 2025 will be next Sunday, February 23 at the Deportivo SME Coapa in the Tlalpan district, in the south of Mexico City.
The closest public transportation to the Deportivo SME Coapa is the El Vergel station of the Light Rail.
The address of the event is Calz. del Hueso 381, two blocks from Galerías Coapa. It is worth mentioning that it will be open to the public from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The impact of Hello Kitty in Mexico
Kitty Queen Shop is an online store, like many in Mexico, that started as a simple hobby of collecting Hello Kitty items and became a business opportunity that has been running for more than a decade.
“I started selling because I like Hello Kitty, I’m a fan, and then many of my friends would say to me: hey, where is that from, where did you buy it? And from there I would tell them ‘I bought it, if you want I can sell it to you’ and if not, now that you go to such and such place, I will get it for you,” Daniela Vera, owner of the business, told El Sol de México.
The kittylover told this media that in the decade she has been marketing products of the most famous Sanrio character, she has sold items that she brought from the United States, Ecuador, Peru and Spain, as this brand managed to position the kitty in approximately 130 countries.
In the Latin American market alone, Hello Kitty has earnings of 1 billion Japanese yen, equivalent to six thousand 531 million 650 dollars. The company does not specify the earnings in Mexico.
