The Baja California Sur Museum of Art will open this Friday, February 21 at 5:00 p.m., aimed at the general public, with free admission to the exhibition “Carlos Olachea Boucsiéguez South California Biennials of Visual Arts,” a space where various plastic manifestations that have marked the state’s art scene in recent years come together.
This exhibition not only seeks to recognize the career of South Californian artists, but also to generate a dialogue between current and future generations about identity, territory and contemporary coincidences expressed through painting, sculpture, photography and other disciplines.
Since their creation, the biennials have been a benchmark for the growth of art in the state, consolidating themselves as a platform for the dissemination of local talent. In this edition, the Museum of Art opens its doors to celebrate the diversity of proposals and techniques that reflect the cultural wealth of our region.
The Instituto Sudcaliforniano de Cultura invites the entire community to join this great celebration of art and enjoy an exhibition that promises to surprise, inspire and reaffirm the commitment to the promotion of visual arts in Baja California Sur.
