Agencies prepare tourist packages for the Tabasco Fair and Holy Week

Jorge Luis Ruiz Pérez, president of the Tabasco Branch of the Mexican Association of Travel Agencies, says that they are already working on the upcoming Easter events, including the Sunflower Festival. In addition, the agencies are already offering packages for the Tabasco Fair season.

In an interview, Ruiz Pérez said: “We are already undertaking actions, such as Easter. We have the Sunflower Festival, previously we have the blind sardine fishing, and the Bonsai Festival is also coming, here we coordinate with the people of Tapijulapa.”

“Many operators from Puebla, Veracruz, Chiapas, Campeche and Yucatan already have departures for the Sunflower Festival, which includes everything for Easter.”

He explained that the tourism operators from Tabasco are already offering their packages “for the visit to Balancán and everything that has to do with the tourist destinations of Tabasco.”

The businessman acknowledged that the perception of violence in Tabasco has impacted tourism in the state, although at the moment there has not been any event “that damages or harms tourism activities or that a visitor suffers or makes it impossible for them to come and visit.”

Regarding the Tabasco Fair, he indicated that they will soon send the Tourism Secretariat packages that could be made up of five days and four nights to participate in the largest fair.

Also so that they take part in the routes that exist, such as the cocoa route, in addition to the Sierra Route, which are included in various packages.

He announced that, together with the OCV, a tourist caravan is being prepared to Tuxtla Gutiérrez to promote the fair.
