One person died and three were injured in a multiple accident that occurred on the Querétaro – San Luis Potosí highway, where three trailers and a bus were involved.
The pile-up occurred around 5:00 a.m. this Friday at kilometer 43, near the Parador Durango in San José Iturbide, Guanajuato.

During the spectacular accident, one of the trailers ended up crushed by the other heavy load units, which caused its driver to lose his life in the middle of the twisted metal.
The highway ended up closed for several hours, causing the line of cars to expand to Santa Rosa Jáuregui in the Querétaro capital.
Various police corporations, as well as firefighters and paramedics from Guanajuato, were dispatched to the scene and were in charge of examining the people involved in the crash.
Upon arrival, rescuers from the Mexican Red Cross and the San José Iturbide Fire Department noticed the lifeless driver of a trailer, who was trapped between the twisted metal of the unit, while none of the injured required hospitalization as their injuries were minor.
Members of the National Highway Guard remained at the scene and took note of the incident and cleared the way. Personnel from the Guanajuato Prosecutor’s Office carried out the proceedings and removed the body.
