A total of six people were arrested in Guanajuato, who according to reports from the authorities of that state would be members of a criminal cell involved in several homicides in the state of Querétaro, and the cities of Celaya and San Miguel de Allende.
It was through a search in the Santa Cruz de La Paz neighborhood in San Miguel de Allende where elements of Criminal Investigation achieved their arrest.
The operation in the building also resulted in the seizure of several doses of drugs, a vehicle and several firearms and ammunition.
The Guanajuato Prosecutor’s Office reported that through ballistic analysis it confirmed that the seized weapons were used in various crimes, which allows to clarify multiple criminal events registered in recent dates in the municipalities and state mentioned.
The detainees were placed at the disposal of the competent authority and are under investigation to determine their legal situation. Guanajuato authorities reaffirmed the coordination that exists with neighboring prosecutors to strengthen security and combat crime.
