The Navy announced the seizure of almost two tons of cocaine on the coast of Oaxaca, in which three foreigners were arrested, in addition to seizing two boats.
In the seizure, a total of 1,922 kilos of cocaine were seized, which would have a commercial value of approximately 24 million 25 thousand dollars (more than 487 million pesos).
The seized drugs were traveling in one of the boats in their entirety, while the other vessel was carrying 38 drums with a capacity of 60 liters, with approximately 780 liters of fuel. In both boats there was a total of 1,380 liters of fuel.
Both vehicles were stopped 118 and 135 kilometers (64 and 73 nautical miles) offshore from the Oaxacan coast.
Also, three people of foreign origin were arrested, about whom no further information was released.
According to Semar, since October 1, 2024, it has managed to seize 26,508 kilograms of cocaine in maritime operations throughout the country.
It indicates that it adds up to a cumulative total of 5,318 kilograms during 2025, which represents more than 100 kilograms seized each day this year.
