The port of the municipality of Progreso, in the state of Yucatan, will receive the best athletes in the beach volleyball discipline, since it will be part of the World Challenge Tour, where intense disputes can be witnessed to be the best in the world in the branch.
This event will take place from March 19 to 23, with the presence of 160 athletes who will show their volleyball skills to the state population, which includes the arrival of Olympic and world champions, both in the women’s and men’s branches.
This announcement was made by Joaquín Díaz Mena “Huacho”, governor of Yucatán, who was accompanied by the former Yucatecan Rommel Pacheco Marrufo, director of the National Commission for Physical Culture and Sports (CONADE).
There will also be the presence of 100 coaches who will be guiding the teams during this competition, in addition to 40 judges and 9 delegates from the International Beach Volleyball Federation, who will have four courts and a stadium with capacity for two thousand spectators, where the international competition will be held.
