The Governor of Aguascalientes, María Teresa Jiménez Esquivel, received the EMS Angels Award Q3 2024 Diamond, a recognition granted by the European Society of Emergency Medicine, through the Angels Initiative, to the best emergency services globally.

This distinction recognizes the State Medical Emergency System and the Medical Emergency Regulatory Center of the Health Services Institute of the State of Aguascalientes (ISSEA) as the first center certified nationwide with the Diamond level, in addition to positioning it among the first five in Latin America to receive this award.

“This recognition is for those who dedicate themselves to saving lives, who are the ones who make it possible for Aguascalientes to move forward, giving their lives, their effort and their work.”
“I congratulate Dr. Luis Miguel Martínez, who has done everything and even the impossible so that our emergency system is the best, not only in Mexico, but in the world.”
“I want you to know that in Aguascalientes we are a humanist government and the issue of health continues to advance every day; we will spare no effort to make it the best,” declared the governor.
For his part, the state Secretary of Health, Rubén Galaviz Tristán, stressed that obtaining this recognition positions the State Medical Emergency System as a national and international reference, consolidating its prehospital care model as a quality, professional, competent and world-class system.

“Thanks to the vision of Tere Jiménez, today we have the best emergency system in the entire country. In Aguascalientes we also have the best human capital in health professionals, and proof of this is precisely the presentation of this award in the Diamond category, the highest.”
“We will continue working under the dynamic of continuous improvement and attending to patients as if they were our own family,” said Galaviz Tristán.
Meanwhile, Brenda Rodelo, manager of Angels Medical Mexico, thanked the governor for allowing the collaboration of this organization with the health authorities of the state, with the objective of more patients receiving timely and safe treatment.

“We are proud to congratulate the entire team of Dr. Luis Miguel Martínez for their great performance, since it has been the first medical emergency organization in the country to obtain this distinction at its highest level of demand: a Diamond Award, which will be the inspiration for other medical emergency organizations, which we are sure will follow in their footsteps,” she said.
The event, held at the Government Palace, was attended by Deputy Luis León, President of the Board of Directors of the Congress of Aguascalientes; Representative Alma Hilda Medina Macías, President of the Public Health Commission of Congress; José Antonio Abad Mena, General Director of the State Institute of Public Welfare; and Luis Miguel Martínez Martínez, Director of Health Emergencies of the State Health Secretariat.
